About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious CAD Technician to join our team at SLR Consulting. As a Senior CAD Technician, you will play a key role in assisting colleagues in the delivery of a wide range of transport assessments for various clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice to colleagues and clients on highway design and transportation planning.
  • Produce high-quality plans for public consultation and inquiries.
  • Develop preliminary highway schemes, design priority junctions, signal-controlled junctions, and roundabouts to relevant design standards.
  • Design car park layouts, including multi-storey car parks with access ramps to relevant guidance.
  • Design cycle schemes, including LTN-1-20, CD145, and LCDS.
  • Utilize AutoCAD software and other design packages, such as Civil 3D, Map 3D, KeyLines, and KeySIGNS.
  • Assist in the provision of specialized technical advice and drawings for project management.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious CAD Technician with:

  • Expertise in highway design and transportation planning.
  • Knowledge of car park layout design and multi-storey car park design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD software and other design packages.
  • Strong communication and technical skills.
