Practice Nurse

This is a challenging and rewarding role as a Practice Nurse in Primary Care Sheffield, working in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients, including screening, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Manage chronic diseases such as asthma, COPD, and diabetes, as well as other long-term conditions.
- Undertake cervical cytology, provide a comprehensive family planning service, and offer sexual health advice.
- Perform spirometry, manage newly diagnosed patients, and undertake opportunistic screening.
- Administer injections, offer travel health advice, and provide wound care using aseptic technique.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC pin and no restrictions.
- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in Primary Care.
- Experience in managing long-term conditions, health promotion, and education.
- Knowledge of national standards, policy developments, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
