The Global Sourcing Manager for Key Spend Areas will play a crucial role in driving top and bottom-line growth through comprehensive purchase strategies. This individual will work closely with colleagues to ensure detailed spend analysis, business needs understanding, industry assessment, and short-term, mid-term, and long-term actions are integrated into the PST program.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves managing the PST program, enabling PST leads to create and execute comprehensive purchase strategies for key spend areas within Global Procurement. The successful candidate will interact with business units, spend areas, and stakeholders at local, regional, and global levels, monitoring the implementation of purchase strategies. Key responsibilities include:
  • Helping teams develop and implement purchase strategies to optimize sourcing results.
  • Couching teams on how to execute their purchase strategies to ensure short-term initiatives, mid-term actions, and long-term strategies are achieved.
  • Serving as a resource for teams on topics including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, supplier diversity, sustainability, contracting, performance, and risk management.
  • Working with Purchase Strategy Team Leads to understand spend and identify opportunities to support Global Procurement objectives.
  • Producing reporting and analysis of spend area strategy teams to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitating implementation of change initiatives to improve purchase strategy team performance.
  • Identifying and sharing best practices used to develop purchase strategies and lead teams, including but not limited to stakeholder engagement.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
  • Building strong relationships with team leads with a focus on fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Developing a maturity plan for purchase strategy team program implementation and providing regular progress updates to the GPLT.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree with related experience, a minimum of 5 years quality, sourcing, or related/relevant experience within a multi-plant or multi-divisional business. You must have a proven track record of successfully managing projects, people, and resources, responsible for developing and implementing purchase strategies within a global environment. Additionally, you should possess strategic long-term and short-term thinking, the ability to multitask with a sense of urgency, and interface and influence with external and internal resources at all levels.

Benefits
