Job Description

As an Income Protection Claims Specialist, you'll assess complex claims in line with industry best practices, mentor new team members, and contribute to process improvements.

  • Assess income protection claims using detailed knowledge of the UK insurance market and regulatory environment
  • Draft and issue claims decision letters and other correspondence
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure swift and correct claim outcomes

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and mentor team members to achieve excellence in claims assessment
  • Participate in testing new processes and systems to drive innovation and efficiency
  • Collaborate with reinsurers to ensure seamless claim outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Broad experience in assessing and managing income protection claims
  • Confident presentation and training skills
  • Detailed knowledge of the FOS on claims matters

Location and Eligibility

The successful candidate must be located and eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
