About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Colleague at our Southport Birkdale Express store. As a Colleague, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers with a smile and serving them with pride
  • Build rapport with customers, ensuring they have a great shopping experience
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, including handling customer queries and resolving issues
  • Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and store promotions, making recommendations to customers
  • Handle products with care, maintaining quality and ensuring they reach customers in the best condition
  • Be a brand ambassador, representing Tesco's values and policies

Requirements

  • A passion for delivering great service and building rapport with customers
  • The ability to work well within a team and communicate openly with others
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a till
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
