About the Role:
Carrington West is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Town Planner to join their internal consultancy team. As a Senior Town Planner, you will provide expert planning advice and support on diverse projects, helping clients navigate the planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning applications and submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies to identify potential development opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive planning reports and documents, including site plans and technical specifications.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Support senior planners with research and policy analysis, staying up-to-date with changes in the UK planning system.
- Attend site visits and client meetings to provide expert advice and guidance.
About You:
- Hold a degree in Town Planning or a related field, with a strong understanding of the UK planning system.
- Be a member or working towards membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
- Have experience in planning, within a consultancy or local authority, with a proven track record of delivering projects.
- Possess strong report writing and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Be an effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.
