Job Overview

The Health and Safety Partnership is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead - Principal Designer to join our team. As a key member of our construction and property consultancy, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services for projects across various sectors, including design and build, engineering, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery of projects from £500k to £500m, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Grow workload through bidding and proposal writing, working across all sectors as opportunities arise.
  • Manage and deliver key client accounts, providing project technical leadership and quality assurance.
  • Develop risk responses and plans to eliminate risks on projects, ensuring projects comply with CDM 2015.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings as required, investigating near misses and accidents where necessary.
  • Review Construction Phase Plans and prepare Pre-Construction Information.
  • Stay up-to-date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation.
  • Support the development of the next generation of leaders within the company.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in a design or construction management-related field, preferably with CMaPS status and Chartered Membership of a relevant body.
  • Proficient in using standard Microsoft Office applications and experienced with BIM.
  • c10 years' experience in delivering Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services, with a proven track record in the London professional construction services sector.
