We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As a Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) skills, you will play a vital role in supporting a student with hearing impairments in a dynamic and inclusive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize BSL to communicate effectively with the student and provide individualized support in lessons.
- Act as a Teaching Assistant, providing academic support and assistance to the student in a classroom setting.
- Collaborate with class teachers to ensure the student receives comprehensive support and accommodations.
- Deliver 1-2-1 intervention sessions as needed to support the student's academic and personal growth.
- Hold a Level 1, 2, or 3 qualification in British Sign Language.
- Previous experience supporting students with hearing impairments and communicating via BSL.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
