Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and organized Research Secretary/Administrator to provide professional secretarial and administrative support to the Family Wellbeing Team, the Healthy Livelihoods Team, and associated research projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to multidisciplinary research projects, including diary management, travel arrangements, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use digital technologies, including Google applications and Microsoft Office, to maintain website and social media platforms, and to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external meetings, and arrange travel and accommodation as needed.
  • Manage competing priorities, balancing administrative tasks and providing support to research projects.
  • Develop and maintain administrative procedures and processes to ensure efficient and effective support to research projects.

Requirements

  • Level 2 qualification, including Maths and English, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience of working in a varied administrative role, with a thorough knowledge of administrative procedures and processes.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Google applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
