Colorectal Paediatric Surgeon

The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled Colorectal Paediatric Surgeon to join our dynamic team. This role will involve providing a paediatric and neonatal surgical service for a wide geographic area, including children with colorectal problems.
The successful candidate will take equal responsibility with existing Consultants for the proper functioning of the Paediatric Surgical Unit. They will also participate in the training programme at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality surgical care to children with colorectal problems
- Take part in the training programme at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Take equal responsibility with existing Consultants for the proper functioning of the Paediatric Surgical Unit
- CCT or CESR (CP) with a proposed date within 6 months of interview
- GMC registration
- Post CCT Colorectal Fellowship training or current experience as a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with an interest in Colorectal Surgery
- Experience in paediatric surgery within a dedicated paediatric and neonatal surgical unit
- Research involvement including publications in quality specialty journals
- Active participation in Management/Audit during SpR or equivalent level
