About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Tax Manager to join our team at Michael Page Finance. As a key member of our professional services team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of R&D claims for a range of clients, from small to medium-sized enterprises to large corporations.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage the delivery of R&D claims, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to HMRC.
- Provide expert guidance and support to clients on R&D compliance rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement R&D technical reports and evidence.
- Work closely with clients and colleagues to identify and capitalize on R&D eligible costings.
- Utilize leading R&D claims software and work with administrative support colleagues to ensure seamless claim processing.
- Contribute to the preparation of corporation tax computations to maximize R&D tax relief.
- Engage with HMRC to resolve R&D claims checks and appeals.
- Participate in business development and opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
Requirements
- Strong educational background in tax or a related field.
- Proven experience in professional services, with a focus on tax services.
- In-depth knowledge of tax legislation and compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Experience in corporation tax, with a focus on R&D tax relief.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong client presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts.
- Ability to travel to clients and other group practices on a regular basis.
