Job Opportunity: English Teacher

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Teacher to join our team at Grateley House School, an independent special secondary school for students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

About the Role:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging literacy programs for students in Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. You will work closely with other experienced colleagues to develop and lead Literacy across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to students in Key Stage 3, 4, and 5
  • Develop and deliver individualized and small group programs
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support students' learning and development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good knowledge of the English National Curriculum and experience teaching up to GCSE level
  • An understanding of the Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or experience working with children/young people with additional needs
  • The ability to work proactively alongside other experienced colleagues to develop and lead Literacy through the school
  • QTS or equivalent qualification
