Job Overview
Morson Talent is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the Digital Identity & Security (DIS) division, you will be responsible for banking and payment card production for high street banks and financial institutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with precision tooling and methodology, analyze results, and drive continuous improvement.

Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary that reflects the importance of this role in ensuring the quality of our clients' products.

About the Role
Working within our clients' DIS division, you will deal primarily with banking and payment card production. Your responsibilities will include data collation, data recording, and reporting on a regular basis, as well as analyzing results and output to drive continual improvement. You will also be required to work with and to a Quality Management System, maintain accurate records, and provide statistical and management reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define and optimize quality standards and measurement systems.
  2. Lead the quality system/quality process design, implementation, and maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards at minimum Cost of Quality.
  3. Quantify and incorporate variance build-up across operations in the definition of specifications.
  4. Build in inline checks to reveal problems, detect, and correct process failure fast and at source to contain cost build-up across operations.
  5. Ensure sampling strategies balance process variation (risk and potential cost of non-detection) against the cost of performing the control.
  6. Use statistical methods to verify regularly and improve the capability of each test/control (MSA) and process.
  7. Ensure effective training (TWI-JI methodology), implementation, and continued operation.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have a working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to conduct training sessions or give presentations. Prior experience within a Quality department in a production, financial, or manufacturing environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of quality assurance techniques and tools related to production processes. A strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and ISO standards, particularly ISO9001:2015, would also be beneficial.
