About the Role:

Career Teachers is seeking an experienced and qualified Primary Interim Senior Leader to join our team in South London.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with a focus on inclusion and SEND. They will be responsible for determining and maintaining a strategic overview of inclusion and SEND across the school, driving school improvement in these areas.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the detailed implementation of support for children with SEND across the school, developing and monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of the SEND policy, and contributing to strengthening and maintaining a collaborative learning community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Determine and maintain a strategic overview of inclusion and SEND across the school.
  2. Ensure the detailed implementation of support for children with SEND across the school.
  3. Develop, monitor and review the implementation and effectiveness of the SEND policy.
  4. Contribute to strengthening and maintaining a collaborative learning community.
  5. Be a specialist in inclusive teaching and learning.
  6. Support the Head of School in ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of the school.
  7. Act as DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead), responsible for safeguarding and child protection.

Requirements:

  1. An Undergraduate Education Degree or equivalent with QTS.
  2. Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  3. Dedication to creating ideal learning conditions and safeguarding children.
  4. Proficiency in office software.
  5. Provide an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
