About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing external contractors, ensuring sign off of completed works against an agreed standard, compliance with all applicable internal systems, review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Issue Permit to Work.
  • Providing information regarding fault finding, sharing knowledge with Site Manager and Production Supervisors as applicable.
  • Ensuring all new installations or modifications to existing machinery are commissioned and risk assessed before use.
  • Managing tasks so that the site complies with all UK engineering compliance requirements as well as internal system requirements (LOLER, PUWER, Legionella, Electricity at Work, Pressure System Regs, Permit to Work, Hot Work etc.).
  • Ensuring engineering stores are maintained, ordered and tidy.
  • Actively promoting safety awareness and cost and quality awareness.
