Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our team due to a significant increase in workload. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous development, improvement, and optimization of our existing medical product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with our Procurement and Supply Chain teams to identify cost-effective solutions without compromising product quality.

  • Value Engineering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Drawing Creation: Produce CAD drawings and technical specifications to enable manufacture of new products.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure design changes comply with relevant medical device regulations, standards, and certifications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design updates and improvements.
  • Self-motivated: Flexible, proactive, and committed.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (Minimum)
  • Experience: 2 - 3 years minimum experience in technical engineering role. Product development management experience is a plus.
  • SolidWorks CAD Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Word, and particularly Excel.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical foundation and other relevant engineering tools.

Salary

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum
