Job Description

As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous development, improvement, and optimization of the existing medical product portfolio.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, supporting the local EPD Engineer with both the integration of new products and the development of variants of current products.

You will also be part of a group-wide Technical Team, ensuring that all product groups remain compliant with strict medical regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and issue BOM's for Production use.
  • Update Technical Documentation to reflect new variant part codes and features.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to identify cost-effective solutions without compromising product quality.
  • Produce CAD drawings and technical specifications to enable manufacture of new products.
  • Ensure design changes comply with relevant medical device regulations, standards, and certifications.
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design updates and improvements.
  • Carry out ECR tasks such as drawing or specification updates when required.
Requirements
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in technical engineering roles, with product development management experience a plus.
  • SolidWorks CAD Skills, with experience of creating drawings and BOM's essential.
  • Strong technical foundation, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical Skills, with ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaborative Team Player, with demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Salary

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum
