Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a manufacturing company with multiple sites in the local area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of machines and factories, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, and maintaining company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To ensure the upkeep of machines and factories
  2. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation
  3. Ensure that Company policies, procedures and standards are followed and maintained to meet all requirements, in line with our specifications and certifications
  4. Liaise with other departments
  5. Continuous improvement to ensure machine uptime is at its maximum
  6. Assist/work in any department/area as and when required, to forward product through the facility to achieve agreed delivery on time
  7. Ensure records are kept up to date
  8. Conduct service and maintenance work, breakdowns, and urgent repairs to support both sites
  9. Follow-up and resolve issues which are highlighted
  10. Demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude

Requirements:

  1. Time served Multi Skilled Engineer and hold a formal engineering qualification
  2. Full UK Driving Licence
  3. Planned and Reactive maintenance experience
  4. The ability to work as a team and be self-motivated, also to understand written and verbal instruction
  5. Product knowledge (training will be given if necessary)
  6. Good communication skills
  7. A willingness to work on a flexible basis as and when required
  8. An understanding of the electric and mechanics of woodworking machinery
  9. The ability to maintain the fabric of a building
  10. Good fault-finding abilities and computer skills
  11. CNC and PLC knowledge is a bonus but not essential
