About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Prevention & Restorative Justice (PRJ) Team at Powys County Council. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, managing, and delivering interventions aimed at preventing offending among children and young people.

About the Job:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs, risks, and protective factors of children and young people, working closely with families, schools, social services, and other agencies to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Develop and implement personalized intervention plans based on assessment outcomes to address specific needs and reduce offending behaviors.
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people, ensuring timely and effective intervention delivery, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Represent the interests and needs of children and young people in multi-agency meetings.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience in youth justice or a related area working with at-risk youth.
  • Understanding of restorative justice principles, youth offending, and the criminal justice system.
  • Strong assessment, case management, and intervention delivery skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Empathy, patience, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
