About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client's Asset Delivery team, a leader in highway infrastructure projects. As an Estimator, you will support the Managing & Senior Estimators in developing estimates for multi-disciplined Highways Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Oversee design options and identify value solutions.
  • Record assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and support risk evaluation.
  • Liaise with project team members and the supply chain to understand methodologies and principles proposed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on small to medium-sized bids, ensuring tender deliverables are produced effectively and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Review tender documents and submission requirements.
  • Establish and agree key rates.
  • Detailed analysis of subcontractors' proposals.

Requirements:

  • An individual with an infrastructure main contractor background and experience in estimating roles.
  • A candidate with good financial acumen and proficiency in IT applications like Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Candy Estimating Software is desirable but not essential.
  • Working towards or holding a relevant industry chartership (e.g., ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB) is advantageous.
