We're seeking a Sustainability Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team working on projects for our Environment Business Unit.

Location: Hybrid working available, travel across the UK required

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible hours may be available if desired

As a Sustainability Manager, you'll support delivery of more sustainable projects through all avenues available. Providing guidance and support to the project delivery teams to maintain legal compliance and support delivery of the Kier Building for a Sustainable World Framework.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for project and design teams concerning environmental management compliance and sustainability
  • Assisting/leading the development of the projects/contract Environmental Management System
  • Identifying and supporting project teams to obtain and comply with regulatory and client requirements
  • Conducting environmental audits and site inspections and supporting third-party audits
  • Attending client meetings and industry forums as required and completing Board Reports reporting on activity, inspection findings, incidents, action plan items and KPIs

This role is great for you if you:

  • Demonstrate experience in environmental management on construction projects and assessing environmental aspects and impacts, developing mitigation proposals and implementing environmental management procedures to avoid or reduce environmental effects
  • Have good knowledge and practical experience of developing, implementing and improving EMS's certified to BS EN ISO 14001
  • Hold a clean, current UK driving licence
