Maintenance and Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team at Glenholme. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by carrying out routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and other duties as required.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have experience in building trades, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or mechanical services. You will be highly skilled in all expected maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrics, carpentry, painting, decorating, and labouring. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, with a valid UK driving license also required.
Responsibilities- Ensure all necessary compliance checks related to the homes are up to date, including weekly checks.
- Undertake any other general maintenance tasks as directed, relating to the interior or exterior of the buildings.
- Control of maintenance stock and general compliance.
- Ensure maintenance staff training is kept up to date, with the assistance of the Estates Manager.

- Hard working, reliable, and with an excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation in your work.
- You will behave in a transparent manner, always showing respect to our residents, their families, and your colleagues.
- Highly responsible, safety conscious, and risk aware. Health and safety qualifications such as lifting and handling are desirable.
- Practically minded and able to complete a wide range of repairs.
- Works without immediate supervision, planning and coordinating all maintenance works, but also to a schedule when required.
- A valid UK driving license.
This is a full-time position based at Hillcrest Cottages in Horncastle, with travel to other local services as required. The salary for this role is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
