About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Medicines Management Assistant to join our dynamic team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing supervised pharmacy services, including dispensing of medicines, and replenishing and maintaining ward stocks and patients' own medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in the dispensing of medicines and maintenance of ward stocks
  • Work on the inpatient/outpatient hatch receiving prescriptions and dealing with routine enquiries from patients and hospital staff
  • Maintain drug stocks, assemble prescriptions, and check and receive deliveries using Pharmacy systems
  • Participate in patient-centered care at ward level and follow Standard Operating Procedures relevant to your role

Requirements

  • GCSE's or equivalent (C or above) in Maths and English
  • Previous experience in a public sector organization or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of dealing with members of the public, healthcare professionals, and interaction with patients and carers
