About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervised pharmacy services, including dispensing of medicines and replenishing and maintaining ward stocks and patients' own medicines.
  • Work on the inpatient/outpatient hatch receiving prescriptions, deal with routine enquiries from patients and hospital staff, and maintain drug stocks.
  • Assemble prescriptions, check and receive deliveries using Pharmacy systems, and participate in patient-centered care at ward level.

Requirements

  • GCSE's or equivalent (C or above) in Maths and English.
  • Previous experience in a public sector organization or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of dealing with members of the public, healthcare professionals, interaction with patients and carers.
