Babcock International is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at our Rosyth site. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechanical systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, including piping and piping components, pressure vessels, hydraulic systems, and mechanical process equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical input to ensure design quality and safety.
- Prepare technical datasheets, material lists, calculations, engineering reports, and operating/installation/commissioning procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in a highly regulated industry such as Defence, Pharmaceutical, or Oil & Gas.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and MathCAD.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering design solutions.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
