About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team in Oxford. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of our projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Contribute to the achievement of zero tolerance for unsafe working practices and occurrences.
  • Project Delivery: Support the delivery of the sub-project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme, and to stringent safety parameters.
  • Resource Planning: Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short-term programmes of work.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the plan.
  • Innovation: Ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce.
  • Communication: Support the programming of day-to-day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team.
  • Collaboration: Interface with the construction manager and sections managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation.
  • Change Management: Monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change.
  • Leadership: Lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress, and design.
  • Process Implementation: Ensure effective implementation of Laing O Rourke project management systems and procedures.
  • Contract Review: Contribute to the contract review process.
  • Safety Committee: Chair safety committee meetings on a monthly basis, take minutes, distribute, and carry out all actions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or recognisable qualification)
  • Experience: Between 10-15 years' experience
  • Skills: Structures experience

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience
