Job Description: Primary School SEN Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic and caring SEN assistant to join our team at a thriving primary Academy in Wakefield. As an SEN assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils with special educational needs. Your key responsibilities will include working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils, assisting with lesson planning and delivery, and communicating with parents and other professionals to ensure seamless support.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our pupils. As an SEN assistant, you will need to be patient, kind, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. A degree in a relevant field and experience of working with children with SEN are preferred but not essential for this role.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is £23,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
