Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Track Performance Specialist to join our team at Forsyth Barnes. As a Senior Track Performance Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing car performance using simulation tools and developing innovative solutions for track improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize Car Performance: Utilize simulation tools to enhance car performance and develop innovative solutions for track improvement.
  • Support Suspension Design: Collaborate with the design team to support the development of inboard/outboard suspension and steering systems.
  • Coordinate Tests: Oversee and analyze vehicle and sub-assembly tests, including rig testing, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Enhance Tools and Processes: Develop and refine tools and processes for optimal aero-mechanical setups tailored to each circuit.
  • Pre-Event Simulations and Post-Event Reviews: Contribute to pre-event simulations and post-event performance reviews to optimize car performance.

Requirements

To succeed as a Senior Track Performance Specialist, you will require:

  • A MSc/PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle dynamics, simulation, suspension design, and performance analysis in motorsport (F1 preferred).
  • Strong skills in mathematics, data analysis, and performance-critical vehicle aspects.
  • Proficient in Matlab (Python and C++ advantageous).
  • Creative, solution-oriented, and detail-driven, even under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative team player.
