Job Description

Job Title: Head of Estates Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Estates Management to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the Asset Register, Reactive Maintenance Programme, Planned Preventative Maintenance, New Works and Backlog Maintenance Programme, Space Utilisation, Fire Safety Management and Medical Devices Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accountability for the day-to-day management and delivery of the Asset Register, Reactive Maintenance Programme, Planned Preventative Maintenance, New Works and Backlog Maintenance Programme, Space Utilisation, Fire Safety Management and Medical Devices Management.
  • Accountable for the Fire Safety team, and liaise with the Trust's Fire Safety Advisors in ensuring compliance with all relevant fire safety legislation.
  • Act as a Responsible Person for Legionella, HVAC, Asbestos, Electrical Safety and Fire as set out in HTMs.
  • Contribute to robust governance arrangements across the CEF Directorate that maintain high standards of performance and ensure accountability, openness and transparency working closely with independent Authorising Engineers.
  • Undertake detailed analyses of service provision as required and contribute to the development of strategies and plans to improve service delivery in a cost effective and efficient manner.
