About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our Estates Department as a Mechanical and Electrical Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful operation and maintenance of our premises and assets, ensuring compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the assets are maintained in accordance with statutory and mandatory requirements.
  • Work with the Maintenance Team and contractors to provide a quality service that is responsive to service and clinical needs.
  • Provide detailed professional technical advice to staff and contractors on issues that are complex and non-routine.
  • Monitor the performance of plant and equipment against commissioning data and operations manuals.

Requirements

  • Engineering experience in an operational NHS and/or healthcare estates maintenance environment.
  • Experience of contract and subcontract management with a number of external organisations.
  • Specialist knowledge of engineering and infrastructure processes and the impact that they have on the healthcare provision.
