Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Nurse with a specialist interest in Diabetes to join our Community Children's Nursing Team in Ealing.

The successful candidate will provide expert nursing care and support to children and young people with diabetes within the community, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of holistic and evidence-based care.

The role involves providing clinical nursing care, training, and support to children, young people, and their carers at home or in other community settings, enabling them to remain safely in the community and transition to adult services where appropriate.

The team looks after children and young people with a range of conditions, including acute and short-term conditions, long-term conditions, disabilities, and complex conditions, including neonates and those with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.

Main Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team that provides nursing care to children in a variety of community settings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert nursing care and support to children and young people with diabetes
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of holistic and evidence-based care
  • Providing clinical nursing care, training, and support to children, young people, and their carers
  • Enabling children and young people to remain safely in the community and transition to adult services where appropriate

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Children's nurse with a specialist interest in diabetes, who is a highly motivated independent practitioner, underpinned by a solid foundation in evidence-based nursing practices.

The successful candidate will be a key member of our team, working collaboratively with others to deliver high-quality care to children and young people with diabetes.

Requirements

  • Experience working in the community, although this is not essential
  • A specialist interest in diabetes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
