About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and numerate individual to join our property accounting team as a Senior Property Accounting Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work on highly desirable properties and report directly to our property management financial controller.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all financial matters affecting the properties, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Produce month-end management accounts, including VAT, bank, and control account reconciliations, to ensure financial transparency.
  • Ensure all balances are understood monthly, specifically rent, service charge, and direct recovery funds, to maintain financial stability.
  • Manage cashflow for each property to ensure suppliers can be paid promptly, maintaining good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Review service charge compliance to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Provide ad hoc reports and assist in setting up new sites as required, supporting the growth of our business.
  • Work with the property accounting team and wider finance team to achieve departmental targets and deadlines, fostering a collaborative environment.
Supporting the Surveying and Site Teams
  • Produce year-end accounts and manage the service charge review process to ensure service charge packs are issued on time, meeting customer expectations.
  • Support the site teams and surveyors by providing financial guidance, including quarterly service charge reviews, mid-year forecasts, and ad-hoc queries, to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Provide financial support to new initiatives and commercial projects, driving business growth and development.
  • Assist with the production of annual service charge budgets in accordance with RICS guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support with ad-hoc reports as required, responding to changing business needs.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
