Job Title: Adult Services Deputy Manager

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as an Adult Services Deputy Manager. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will be responsible for leading and supervising the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Principal Pharmacist in the management and development of Pharmacy Aseptic Services.
  • Deputise for the Principal Pharmacist when required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal, national, regional, or local guidelines.
  • Be named on the register to final check and release Intrathecal Chemotherapy.
  • Undertake complex calculations and offer recommendations on the suitability and stability of TPN regimes.
  • Monitor the environment and working practices of the Aseptic Unit.
  • Prepare and validate documentation and processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy.
  • 12 months pre-registration training and experience.
  • Registered with the GPhC.

Desirable:

  • Post graduate qualification in Hospital Pharmacy.
  • Post graduate qualification in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance.
  • Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines Course.
