We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Claims Analyst to join our Life Insurance Claims team in Cardiff. This role offers a starting salary of £25,000 per annum, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking inbound calls and responding to emails from customers who require updates on their life insurance claims
  • Making a positive impact on our customers, specifically those holding protection policies with us, by ensuring their claims are handled sensitively and efficiently
  • Completing and managing claim tasks according to best practice guidelines, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Handling all customer communication, keeping them informed throughout the process
  • Identifying potential complaints and taking ownership of resolving them
  • Liaising with third parties, such as reinsurers and medical providers, in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Utilizing the most effective method of contact to meet customers' expectations of service
  • Contributing to claims projects or other team initiatives to drive business improvement

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills and a passion for supporting customers, regardless of their personal circumstances
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to offer support and feedback to colleagues, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment
  • A commitment to considering the needs of vulnerable customers and taking additional steps to support them
  • Confidence in using desktop or laptop software and experience with MS Office applications
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
