Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Reading. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products, working closely with manufacturing providers, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products using CAD software
  • Work closely with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive engineering development
  • Conduct stress analysis and simulation using FEA and ANSYS
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation
  • Update 3D models and drawings as required
  • Input parts into the MRP system and create BOMs
  • Check drawings for sign off

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar design/mechanical engineering position
  • Excellent proficiency in CAD software, including Inventor, SolidWorks, and Creo
  • Degree/HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Good understanding of FEA, ANSYS, stress analysis, and particle fluid simulation
  • Proven ability to drive engineering development and collaborate with cross-functional teams
