Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

This role is to join an established firm of design engineers, specialising in mechanical and electrical services design across the built environment. You will be working on some really high-profile projects, including highly technical data centre designs. The company works with leading architects, designers, and contractors and has an excellent reputation for delivery, quality, and reliability of their services.

The Senior Mechanical Design role is key to succession and will suit an engineer with an ambition to play a significant role in a business. You will be initially supported by a project director, but with the emphasis on you being given space to work under your own initiative. The company is strong believers of promoting from within and offer excellent opportunities for self-motivated, ambitious engineers. The expectation is that for the right person, this role will progress to Associate level, and enjoy the related benefits, including profit share.

Responsibilities:
• Take the Clients brief along with responsibility for the technical design of mechanical systems.
• Work on high-profile projects, including highly technical data centre designs.
• Collaborate with leading architects, designers, and contractors.
• Develop and implement design solutions that meet the clients' needs and expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Contribute to the development of the company's design standards and best practices.
