Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Devon and Cornwall

Salary: £46,546.00 per annum, inclusive of standby allowance £2,020.98

Benefits: Company Vehicle, Company pension scheme, BUPA (single cover), death in service, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Hours: Monday – Friday - 8am - 5:30pm with flexibility

Overtime: Available at time and a half with double time on the weekends

On call / Standby: 1 week in every 4

Our client, a leading Global Facilities Management company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to cover between 16 and 19 sites across Devon and Cornwall.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team and provide high-quality maintenance services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out PPM and reactive HVAC maintenance to between 16 and 19 sites, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out PPM and reactive HVAC maintenance to between 16 and 19 sites.
  2. Be the first line in all maintenance throughout your allocated sites.
  3. Complete maintenance to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid down company Health and Safety Policy.
  4. Maintain and repair a range of mechanical equipment, e.g. fans, pumps and compressors to recognized standards.
  5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the HVAC Supervisor of findings.
  6. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by management.
Candidate's Background & Experience:
  1. Qualified Commercial Gas / Heating Engineer with experience across multi-sites on the service and maintenance of heating systems.
  2. NVQ Level 3 – Commercial and Industrial Gas, Building Services / Heat & Ventilation.
  3. Ability to work at heights, work in confined spaces.
  4. A hands-on, can-do and flexible approach to your work.
