About the Role:

As a Nuclear Systems Support Specialist at National Nuclear Laboratory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our control systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing front-line technical support to the Infrastructure Compliance Engineering team
  • Assisting in delivering expertise in Control Systems such as Programmable Electronic Systems (PES), Building Management Systems (BMS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), DCS & SCADA systems
  • Supporting maintenance activities by implementing and maintaining the PES technical basis of maintenance (TBoM) process across both facilities

Requirements:

  • Educated to Electrical & Instrument Apprenticeship level or equivalent, with relevant experience may be considered in lieu of stated qualification
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of PES, PLC, BMS, DCS and SCADA systems, including operational and maintenance requirements
  • Strong communications skills, ability to communicate key information with customers, suppliers and stakeholders

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Central and Windscale Labs, Sellafield Site
