Head of Early Years

Academics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Practitioner to lead our team in Chelmsford, Essex.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organization, where you will have the chance to make a real impact on the lives of children and their families.

As Head of Early Years, you will be responsible for leading the care and education of our children, ensuring that our learning environment is effective and that high-quality teaching and learning is taking place.

You will also be the SENCO for the setting, leading on all aspects of the SENCO role and establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority Departments, regulatory bodies, and other agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in our care
  • Leading the development and implementation of our curriculum
  • Ensuring that high-quality teaching and learning is taking place, with maximum impact on children's outcomes
  • Leading on all aspects of the SENCO role, including identifying and supporting children with special educational needs
  • Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority Departments, regulatory bodies, and other agencies
