About the Role

The Schroder Foundation is a small, family-led, independent grant-making charity that provides administrative services to four other charities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day management to the five charities, ensuring their smooth operation until the permanent Director role is in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the five charities, including governance, finance, grant making, and administration.
  • Provide line management to the Grants Officer and delegate tasks to the contract Finance Manager.
  • Develop and implement effective operational strategies to ensure the smooth running of the charities.
  • Collaborate with the trustee boards to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of charity governance and operations, ideally with a background of running or operating within small organizations.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience, with experience of working with trustee boards.
