Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Permanent Nights

Hariley Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Kingswinford. If you have a proven track record in Multi Skilled Engineering and are looking for a new opportunity to excel in a fast-paced environment, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead maintenance activities during breakdowns, utilizing your skills and experience to ensure effective resolution.
  2. Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with PPM schedules and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  3. Respond quickly to breakdowns in multiple areas, identifying root causes and suggesting improvements to prevent future issues.
  4. Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager/Principal Engineer and collaborate with the operations department to minimize plant disruption.
  5. Adhere to engineering standards and good hygiene practices for the department and site.
  6. Ensure all activities are carried out within health and safety guidelines, highlighting areas for improvement to the Engineering Shift Manager/Principal Engineer.
  7. Timely report any Health and Safety, Animal Welfare, and Environmental issues.
  8. Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques to identify root causes of issues.
  9. Raise Stock and Non-Stock request forms.
  10. Utilize the CMMS system for spare parts, logging and completing jobs.
Requirements:
  1. An advanced Engineering Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
  2. Solid Engineering experience, preferably within food manufacturing.
  3. Familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment and the ability to fault-find.
  4. Mechanical fitting skills, with machining, welding, and fabrication experience being advantageous.
  5. The ability to mentor colleagues.
  6. A self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
  7. An individual who is keen to make a difference with their pro-activeness and a can-do attitude.
  8. Industrial refrigeration experience is desirable but not essential.
  9. Desirable IEE 17th or 18th edition.
  10. Desirable Advanced Electrical qualification.
  11. Desirable good knowledge of PLCs, Variable speed drives, and control systems.
