English Teacher Role

We are working in partnership with a secondary school in Derby to find an enthusiastic and committed English teacher. The successful candidate will be teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4. KS5 experience is desired but not essential. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have recent experience teaching English at secondary school level and strong behaviour/classroom management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and creative English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback
• Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as school trips

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Recent experience teaching English at secondary school level
• Strong behaviour/classroom management skills
