**SUMMARY OF POSITION**:
This is a safety critical role and exists to deliver internal and external Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) training. NDT training covers both ASNT and PCN (EN9712) schemes as well as our Rail Flaw Detection Portable Systems (Pedestrian) training. In addition to conducting training for our contracts in the UK and mainland Europe, ensuring the delivery of service to meet demand on time and to the expected level, this role is also responsible for writing training material including examination and assessment documentation, evaluating assessments and writing material to suit circumstances.

**KEY ACTIVITIES**
- Produce NDT training material, competency and assessment documentation.
- Produce training material as part of the ASNT scheme for Levels I and II.
- Deliver training in accordance with BINDT CP08.
- Produce bespoke training packages as required.
- Produce training for all Sperry equipment.
- Carry out technical presentations for Sperry NDT techniques.
- Delivery of NDT courses under ASNT and PCN/EN9712.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and calibrated where required.
- Carry out NDT inspections on track when required, which will require some night and weekend work.

**OUR ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- More than 5 years industrial experience in an NDT sector or have completed a minimum 2-year apprenticeship with an established ATO or have previously been an approved tutor at a BINDT ATO.
- Full Colour Vision.
- Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels of a business.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to appropriately question, challenge and improve upon existing processes.
- A Level Mathematics Grade A-D or equivalent.
- A Level English Language Grade A-D or equivalent.
- A Level Science Grade A-D or equivalent.
- PCN Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 or equivalent.
- Level 3 Award or equivalent in Education and Training.
- Willingness to work on track to deliver some training, this will include night work and potential lodging away from home.

**WE WOULD ALSO LIKE**
- PCN Eddy Current Testing Level 2 or equivalent.

**WHAT WE OFFER**
- Annualised hours contract of 2080 hours per annum, equivalent to 40 hours per week with normal working time being Mon-Fri 0800-1630 or as agreed, when working at our Derby HQ.
- 27 day’s annual leave, plus normal public holidays per year.

Salary between £36,500 and £40,000 per annum dependent upon experience / qualifications.
