Senior Land Acquisition Specialist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK's largest house builders, with our North London Division seeking a Senior Land Manager to join the Land department.
The Senior Land Manager is responsible for identifying and acquiring development sites across the division to meet land targets, collaborating closely with the Planning team to ensure maximum contribution from land purchases.
The role involves:
- Maintaining high-profile relationships with external property contacts through effective working relationships with local authorities, agents, landowners, and developers in pursuit of opportunities for the company.
- Liaising between Land and other internal departments to optimize opportunities and develop effective working relationships supporting the land acquisition process.
- Presenting acquisition proposals in an objective and professional manner, incorporating input from other departments and adhering to Group/Divisional procedures.
- In collaboration with the Technical Department, appointing external professionals and consultants for site appraisal.
- Overseeing projects from initial site identification, appraisal, and approval to purchase and implementable planning consent, aligning with budgets.
- Assisting the Land Director in reviewing and finalizing the Land Strategy, managing the land bid and acquisition process, maintaining and enhancing contact networks, and supporting the Land Director with complex land deals.
A competitive annual salary of £55,000 - £65,000, plus benefits including optional car scheme, contributory pension, access to discounts and benefits portal, ShareSave Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme, and life assurance.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience in land management or senior land management, handling complex land deals.
- Proven knowledge of land acquisition and appraisal processes.
An ideal candidate should possess:
- Property Development and Planning Degree or Real Estate Degree (desirable).
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to work effectively under deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, commitment to diversity and inclusion.
