Job Summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our production team in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our plant and machinery, ensuring top-quality standards and adherence to Health and Safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and Maintain Machinery: Ensure all plant and machinery meet expected standards and comply with the company's Health and Safety policy.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records as required by the Quality Assurance manual.
  • Area Maintenance: Monitor and control your working area, carrying out maintenance and checks as needed.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Track operating parameters, log abnormalities, and report deviations or process interruptions to relevant personnel.
  • Fire Safety: Monitor fire-fighting equipment in collaboration with the fire team leader.
  • Planned Maintenance: Ensure Planned Maintenance is conducted according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Cross-Department Communication: Effectively communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Safety Systems Development: Assist in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and creating Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for all tasks.
  • EHS Compliance: Follow operational Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and report all EHS incidents.
  • Risk Assessments: Carry out and communicate risk assessments for all required tasks.
  • Policy Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in monitoring and quality assurance, assessing and communicating risks at the operational level.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various departments.
  • Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and developing Safe Systems of Work.
  • Commitment to following EHS procedures and reporting incidents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
