At Westinghouse Electric Company LLC., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Controls Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing management and leadership to the Project Controls function across the UK Fuel Business Unit.


The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years of experience at senior project controls or project manager level in a high complexity, highly regulated environment. You will have a professional qualification in project management or project controls, scientific or engineering discipline to BEng level, and must be legally eligible to work in the UK.


Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, cost estimating norms, and cost loaded schedules, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives. You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a growing program controls team, managing and supervising team members, and ensuring they are suitably qualified and experienced to fulfill their duties.


The role will require you to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including commercial, finance, operations, safety, and quality departments. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate procedures and regulations, and for implementing best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.


As a Program Controls Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the Program Controls functional requirements, and for ensuring that the program and project controls processes are robust and efficient. You will also be responsible for managing and reviewing customer offers, including basis of estimate documents, risk and assumption modeling, and costs provided to LOAs.

Job Function:


The Program Controls Manager will be responsible for providing management and leadership to the Project Controls function across the UK Fuel Business Unit.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, cost estimating norms, and cost loaded schedules, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a growing program controls team, managing and supervising team members, and ensuring they are suitably qualified and experienced to fulfill their duties.

  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to create realistic and achievable project plans.
  • Implement effective schedule control measures and identify potential risks and issues.
  • Set up and perform regular functional peer review and support the Program Controls QA process (once established).
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in project controls systems and reports.
  • Manage and review customer offers, including basis of estimate documents, risk and assumption modeling, and costs provided to LOAs.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:



  • A minimum of 10 years project management experience, with at least 5 years of experience at senior project controls or project manager level in a high complexity, highly regulated environment.
  • Professional qualification in project management or project controls, scientific or engineering discipline to BEng level.
  • WEC qualification level under WPMR to Project Controls Professional as a minimum (training will be provided).
  • Legally eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship program available).
