Role Responsibilities:

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring that our facilities function efficiently and safely.

Your key duties will encompass:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Actively identify and resolve maintenance requirements in buildings, systems, and machinery to avert failures.
  • Maintenance Execution: Carry out maintenance tasks within your skill set, including work with pneumatic systems, production machinery (automated filling lines, mixing tanks), pipe fitting, shelving, basic electrical work, and construction tasks.
  • Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with external contractors to ensure high standards and efficiency in maintenance activities.
  • Improvement Initiatives: Recognize and implement enhancements; oversee the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of projects.
  • Compliance and Safety: Engage actively in the health and safety team, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
  • Inventory and Procurement: Support maintenance stock inventory, order spare parts for machinery and equipment, and obtain quotes for maintenance supplies.
  • Equipment Oversight: Conduct regular inspections and maintain and review maintenance checklists.

Candidate Profile:

  • You should possess a recognized operational qualification or an apprenticeship in maintenance.
  • A strong decision-maker with a focus on hazard identification and risk management, ensuring safe operations and compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative standards.
  • General safety certification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey business and departmental objectives, fostering an informed and engaged team environment.
