About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, managing teams, and overseeing the delivery of projects on time, to budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of site teams, including labor, plant, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, group safety policy, and all relevant legislation.
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Monitor and control site costs, including labor, materials, and plant hire.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including site diaries, progress reports, and quality control documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and other site personnel.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, including site-specific hazards and project delays.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve site efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, estimating, and commercial, to ensure seamless project delivery.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager who has a proven track record of delivering projects on time, to budget, and to the required quality standards. You will have a strong understanding of construction processes, including design, procurement, and installation. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of working on design and build projects, for a main contractor, as well as in the management of H & S, and the design and procurement processes.
  • Experience of managing all aspects of the build process, including coordination of packages from design and procurement phase through to installation on site and handover.
  • Trade experience and site experience preferable.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation.
  • CSCS Card at Site Manager level.
  • Valid SMSTS certificate.
