About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating officers and contractors to deliver projects effectively and efficiently;
  • Managing the design, build, and maintenance of highways infrastructure services or projects;
  • Overseeing the detailed design and implementation of projects;
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to junior members of staff;
  • Organizing surveys, site inspections, and data capture exercises to evaluate and monitor asset condition;
  • Preparing reports and briefings detailing information and guidance on highway projects or infrastructure;
  • Managing and monitoring assigned revenue and capital budgets;
  • Operating a range of engineering software related to design, construction, project management, and asset inventories;
  • Managing and supervising technical staff, including agency staff and consultants as required.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum qualification of HNC or HND in Engineering;
  • Evidence of CPD relating to CDM, Contract Management, NRWSA, HAUC, and H&S;
  • Fully proficient in the use of AutoCAD as a design software;
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering works and projects in accordance with CDM regulations and good project management principles;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adjust style and content to meet the needs of the audience;
  • Numerate, with strong analytical skills, and the ability to present information at a level appropriate to the audience;
  • Able to plan, prioritize, and organize workload to meet required deadlines;
  • Able to manage against a budget, and allocate resources efficiently and effectively.
