About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Connex Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream and SEN setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEN in a mainstream and SEN setting
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements

  • Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent UK educational qualification
  • Previous experience working with SEN students
  • Previous experience working in education
  • Commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
  • Understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
